"La Cuisine Francais"

By R. H. Duke

Mon Ami Gabi...a French Cafe
La joie de vivre! - celebrate the joy of life as the French do at Mon Ami Gabi, an authentic Parisian-style cafe designed of the 1700 baroque era.

Befitting Las Vegas as a world class dining Mecca is the talent of Chef Owner Gabino Sotelino, considered by many as a most respected culinarian. As a Chicago restaurateur he has garnered numerous awards.

The cuisine is simple French food featuring Classic Steak Frites, and Fruits de Mer always prepared in the style of French cooking with emphasis on classic mix of ingredients and flavorful sauces to please the most discriminating palate.

All meals begin with authentically baked loaves of fresh French bread, with ample portions of flavorful whipped butter. Many of the entrees are served with pomme frites, the original French fries, or may be ordered as a side dish.

The Mon Ami Grand Plateau is very popular. It's a wonderful selection of shellfish served on a bed of crushed ice or available as hot or cold entrees, as well. But the savory dinner entrees to enjoy are the hot baked fresh fish or the superior quality steaks with flavorfully prepared French sauces. The lunch menu touts an excellent offering of seafood or chicken filled crepes as well as several "large sized" omelets.

Don't overlook the superb Maytag Bleu Cheese with its incredibly unmatched flavor that tops several of the colorful salads. Mon Ami Gabi offers a great selection of French wines from various appellations to compliment great meals. And for that sweet appetite any one of the superb desserts are certain to delight.

A unique and exceptional dining experience awaits visitors to Mon Ami Gabi, under the expert administrative direction of Christopher Meers, the management of Perry Fuselier, and Executive Chef Claude Gaty and staff. Dine in any of the indoor dining rooms that explode with character, or at the popular outdoor sidewalk cafe and savor bistro-style cuisine. You may also gravitate to the patio-bar for a pre-dinner or after dinner cocktail and enjoy the view of the bustling Las Vegas Strip.

Mon Ami Gabi is located in the Paris Resort, 3655 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Dress code casual/panache. Open daily, lunch and dinner. Phone (702) 944-4224. Website: http://www.monamigabilasvegas.com
