John R. Bonds is the President of Taste of Vegas, Inc. He’s published the Taste of Vegas Guide since the fall of 1997. It
provides locals and tourists with precise and detailed information on the best places to eat and have fun in Vegas. In the Fall of 1999 he started the annual Taste of Vegas Art, Cuisine and Music Festival. It’s now Nevada’s largest 3 day music and culinary event. Last year’s festival raised 5-tons of food for the Clark County Community Food Bank. Rock bands Berlin, John Waite and the Greg Kihn Band performed. Attendees feasted on cuisine from such
restaurants as Memphis Championship Barbecue, Tre, Del Frisco’s, La Scala and Aureole. Top Vegas chefs performed cooking demonstrations. Cox Communications and DeLuca Liquor & Wine were the main sponsor for the fourth straight year.

Bonds talked about Vegas restaurants on the radio for over six years on K-NEWS and KVBC FM. He decided to take a much needed break and elected not to
renew for 2002. Bonds also created a weekly 7 minute segment for Las Vegas One in 1999 with local attorney John A. Curtas. The show reviewed a restaurant and had a feature story. It aired for over seven months. In addition, Bonds reviewed restaurants for Las Vegas Weekly for one year.
Bonds started bringing on local chefs and restaurants while anchoring/producing
the weekend morning news at Channel 3 during the mid 90’s. He has over 10 years background in TV reporting and Radio work. He’s considered a “restaurant expert” in a town where the dining scene constantly grows and changes . He’s frequently asked by out of town journalists to act as a “consultant.” He’s worked with the TV Food Network; KNBC TV; Alan Richman of GQ Magazine; John Mariani of Esquire and Food & Wine Magazines; and Bon Appetite Magazine, among others.
